Chirine El Ansary is a storyteller and performer. Born in Cairo, she lives between Egypt and France. She studied theatre and performance in Cairo, Paris, and London. After contributing to Cairo’s independent theatre scene, she redirected her focus towards story-performance. Her work merges movement with language to create vivid imagery and evoke emotions.

Chirine performs in Arabic, English, and French. Her repertoire encompasses a broad range of performance poetry, innovative reinterpretations of The One Thousand and One Nights, and productions of her original works such as Fragments of Eternity, No Return, and Matrices. Additionally, she directs, and mentors solo performers, while also conducting performance-making workshops. She holds a Master of Arts in Performance Making and a Practice-as-Research Ph.D. from Goldsmiths, University of London.
